Port 10288 is used by the IBM AIX operating system for communication between various servers and clients using the Distributed Computing Environment Remote Procedure Call (DCE-RPC) protocol. It is also used by the Integrated Virtualization Manager (IVM) on IBM Power Systems for remote management and monitoring of virtual machines.
